What are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are basically soft gel-like derivatives of a naturally occurring substance known as hyaluronic acid. They are similar to dermal fillers, but unlike them, skin boosters are not used for structural augmentation or increasing volume, but rather to give a natural glow to the skin.

Does it hurt?

Here at LS Aesthetics we use the highest grade numbing cream available to help make your treatment as comfortable a possible, we also use the finest of needles to deliver the product into the skin, making the treatment as comfortable as it can be, clients have reported the treatment to give a slight stinging sensation that’s more uncomfortable feeling than painful, we think the results are worth it!

How long does it take?

With the numbing process factored in it usually takes around 40 minutes in total, but an hour is always booked out, your appointment here is never rushed and extra time for any questions before, durning and afterwards is always factored in.

Profhilo

The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.

Jalupro

Jalupro is an injectable solution that has been formulated using a clever combination of amino acids. Technically labelled as a ‘dermal biorevitalizer’, it improves skin texture whilst diminishing wrinkles. 

The science behind Jalupro works by feeding the connective tissue under the skin layers, otherwise known as fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce collagen and repair skin to ensure it always has elasticity and great looking texture. As skin ages, the fibroblasts function reduces in activity; this can be caused by many factors, including spending too much time in the sun, intense smoking and other reasons. Consequently, wrinkles appear.

The amino acids in Jalupro join forces with the existing fibroblasts to help them continue their pre-ageing function. The more abundant the amino acids, the more healthier the skin cells are, resulting in younger appearance. This natural phenomenon is an effective way for skin to look younger again without surgery.

Juvéderm Volite

Juvéderm® VOLITE® promises smoothness and absence of lines.

 VOLITE delivers skin quality improvements, including hydration and elasticity. In a clinical trial of 131 patients, one month after treatment, 96% of patients’ cheeks were smoother and 91% of patients reported increased satisfaction. Results were maintained at six months, where patients reported they could see significant improvements in skin hydration.

Volite utilises VYCROSS™ technology; an innovative combination of low and high molecular weight HA to improve the cross-linking efficiency of HA chains. The cross-linking enables a low concentration of Hyaluronic acid to provide effective natural long-lasting results, alongside minimal swelling and bruising. 

Multiple treatments are not required with Volite.

Lumi eyes – under eye booster

Lumi Eyes is a tissue stimulator designed for needle mesotherapy treatments around the eyes and the tear valley with a filling effect, but with no side effects in the form of lymphoedema. Lumi Eyes is a high-quality product that repairs damage to the dermis with polynucleotides with a strong tissue regenerating effect . The effect of the treatment is strong hydration and rejuvenation of the tissue, as well as the reduction of symptoms of fatigue and skin blueing.

Polynucleotide PDRN is used to regenerate damaged tissues, moisturise, restore volume, and smooth skin. PDRN is a low molecular weight complex that affects the repair of cells and damaged tissues, homeostasis from the inside. The mechanism of action of the substance is to stimulate the active synthesis of collagen, which helps to restore the DNA chains and increase the production of its own elastin. Glutathione, in turn, is responsible for the antioxidant effects during the biorevitalisation procedure.

Lumi Eyes is a high-quality injection product based on polynucleotides (obtained from purified salmon milk DNA) that repair damage to the dermis with tissue regenerating material. Ruthlessly destroys dark circles under the eyes, moisturises and fights fine wrinkles, as well as smoothing and lifting the skin under the eyes. As a tissue booster, it has a proven rejuvenating effect. Stimulation of the skin cells, collagen and elastin allows to delay the ageing processes and strengthens the skin.
